DESCRIPTION:Raising a child with an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD) can be extremely overwhelming and exhausting. Without being able to easily find the right resources when and where you need them the most\, you may sometimes feel alone. But you’re not\, and we can help. \nPlease join us monthly for our free webinar held at 12 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month.  \nIn addition to guest speakers\, we hope attendees will find kinship by sharing their stories\, barriers\, struggles\, successes\, advocacy opportunities\, and more with others who know first-hand the joys of raising a child with IDD and the challenges you and your family may face. \nThis month\, we will be exploring the different Medicaid Waiver Programs for adults with intellectual disabilities with experts from the Department of Healthcare Policy & Financing (HCPF) with speaker Karli Altman. Altman has worked in the Colorado Medicaid system for just over 10 years. She has worked for HCPF for the last six years in the Office of Community Living\, holding roles overseeing the policy and programs implemented by 45 Case Management Agencies for all 10 of Colorado’s HCBS waiver programs across the state.
